Walking in the wrong shoe's

Today God really convicted me.

Do you ever find yourself caught up in the middle of gossip and talking about others and not even realize that you doing it? I did this week and it really got to me.

I work with a lot of nonbelievers and this week I found myself caught up in the gossip. I didn't sleep very well last night and knew in my heart why but really thought about what God was trying to tell me. God told me that I had I was not walking right with him and needed to ask for forgiveness for my sin's and he was so right He also told me to make it right and ask for for giveness from others. Today I told my co-workers that I was not going to get caught up in this anymore and made a real effort to help out where I was needed. I didn't get in the middle of any office gossip, I stayed to myself and just answered to what was directed at me and I feel a lot better about myself.

I have found that listening to God instead of talking to him all the time can get me better results.

have any of you ever found you self in this position?

Graditude

I started this blog the first of the year hoping and praying that I would be able to post weekly happenings for our family to keep up with us but as you can tell one post was all I got around to doing. But after last weeks Bible study I decided that I would write a post on "How thankful I am for all the wonderful creations GOD made for us."

Gratitude, what does that mean to most of us? I can tell you this study was tough for me, I realized my gratitude was not what it should be. I know that I am grateful but am I truly grateful in showing my "gratitude" to our heavenly father.

So I spent time with God talking about all the little things that I don't think I have ever thank God for. I mean really I have taken the little things for granted, my hands, my voice, my feet where would I be today without them? That is something I could never answer but GOD surely could, he made me the way he wanted and I can't change that, but I can change to be more like him.

At our dinner prayers we are making an effort to Thank God for the little everyday things.

"We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28

Making Changes

Okay, the first month of the year is almost over and i feel like I have started off the new year right. We have spent many days cleaning and rearranging rooms. We have made a few trips to Good Will making drops and have started bags of clothes for friends that can use the out grown clothes we no longer need.

As a working mom, I try to do the same as I did before I went back to. Cook, clean, shop, sports and all the extras that come with having a family. So here are a few changes I've made so far this year

I have cooked dinner every night and made our lunches just about everyday. My first goal this month was to clean out the clutter. The second was to stop spending money on fast food.

We are a very busy family. My husband works late one or two nights a week. The boy's play ball and that means we get home late four or five nights a week, so eating out was the what worked for us. But i have learned that i can put something in the crock pot before leaving for or make something a head of time and put it in the oven when one of us comes home to pick the boy's up, it will be ready when we get home.

The New Year

It is two day away from the new year and all I keep hearing is what is your New Years resolution? In the years past I have always had one, but this year my answer has been very different. I have responded with "I have faith." It has sparked a lot of people's curiosity and given me the opportunity to plant a seeds.

I have been looking for ways to talk with friends that are not saved, or who simply do not believe. This was my way in the door. I have spent a lot of time this talking about God. I used the tools that God has given me to try and reach non-believers.

I pray that over the next few weeks that I can continue to spread the Word of our Savior.
